Luz Triathlon and craft fair

Hello everyone. How are you all doing?

This weekend we had the chance to get out and about and enjoy the sunshine. We headed down to Praia Da Luz to catch some of the triathlon on Saturday and take some photos to share with you. But in true Reid fashion we missed it, well we saw one athlete run past us and didn’t manage to get a picture.

It was a beautiful day and as part of the Triathlon celebrations there was a craft fair in the gardens of the Fortaleza Restaurant. We had a good old mooch around there. There was everything crafty you could think of, soaps, jewellery, art canvasses, stuffed toys, local herbs and spices. We bought a fig and almond roll which was delicious. We’re hoping to be able to make some ourselves from the figs from our tree in the summer.

There was a live band and some singing which made for a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon out. We could have been on holiday!

We capped it off with an ice cream from the stall next to the Fortaleza. Yum yum, delicious!
